Surgery fund for Taner: emergency hernia repair in Çankaya
After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Taner was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Taner was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in January. The surgeon at Çankaya Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,600 short.
my father has been in and out of Çankaya Orthopedic Institute since January. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Taner struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Taner won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $185
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $740
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $450
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $155
• Post-operative medication: $70
With deep gratitude,
