Surgery fund for Sushila: a partial thyroidectomy in Dharan

Sushila was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in January. The surgeon at Dharan Community Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my wife has been in and out of Dharan Community Hospital since January. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sushila struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Sushila won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
