Surgery fund for Sohel: gallbladder removal in Gazipur
After a large ovarian cyst, Sohel was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Sohel was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,800, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $900 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sohel struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Sohel won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $900 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $370
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $300
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $95
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Physiotherapy sessions: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
