Sneha was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in March. The surgeon at Mumbai Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,650, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my mother has been in and out of Mumbai Community Hospital since March. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sneha struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Sneha won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
