Siri needs a partial thyroidectomy at Stockholm Regional Medical Center and the family is $3,800 short of the hospital's estimate.

In August I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Stockholm Regional Medical Center recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $6,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $3,800 short.
Doctors at Stockholm Regional Medical Center told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $6,250 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a warehouse packer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. physiotherapy sessions is the biggest at $720.
