Surgery fund for Shruthi: gallbladder removal in Siliguri
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Shruthi was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Shruthi was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in March. The surgeon at Siliguri Orthopedic Institute recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $700 short.
my mother has been in and out of Siliguri Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Shruthi struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Shruthi won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $700 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $75
• Travel and lodging for the family: $75
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $380
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $115

Thinking of you and your family, Aishwarya. Get well soon.
thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this, Aishwarya. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings!
