Shirley was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Warren General Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,850 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Warren General Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Shirley struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Shirley won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
