Surgery fund for Shawn: a craniotomy in Orlando
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Shawn was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Shawn was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in July. The surgeon at Orlando Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,350 short.
my father has been in and out of Orlando Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Shawn struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Shawn won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.

• Travel and lodging for the family: $190
