Surgery fund for Seema: gallbladder removal in Aurangabad
A scheduled gallbladder removal in May is out of reach without help covering $1,000 of the cost.

In March I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Aurangabad General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for May. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,450, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $1,000 short.
Doctors at Aurangabad General Hospital told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without gallbladder removal. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,450 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65
• Post-operative medication: $65
• Physiotherapy sessions: $55
• Travel and lodging for the family: $15
