Saima was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Mardan Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $790, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $550 short.
my mother has been in and out of Mardan Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $790 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Saima struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Saima won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
