Surgery fund for Saif: hip replacement surgery in Savar
Saif needs hip replacement surgery at Savar University Hospital and the family is $100 short of the hospital's estimate.

Saif was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in January. The surgeon at Savar University Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $100 short.
my father has been in and out of Savar University Hospital since January. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Saif struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Saif won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $100 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
• Post-operative medication: $25
• Physiotherapy sessions: $35
Thank you so much.

Thanks for sharing this, Jahid. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together. All the best
Sending strength. Get well soon. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home!
