Surgery fund for Ruslan: ACL reconstruction in Kyiv
After an aortic valve defect, Ruslan was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Ruslan was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in August. The surgeon at Kyiv Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,100, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,550 short.
my son has been in and out of Kyiv Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ruslan struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Ruslan won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $500
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $650
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $105
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $135
• Travel and lodging for the family: $105
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
