Surgery fund for Roberto: cataract surgery in Valencia
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Roberto was cleared for cataract surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Roberto was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at Valencia General Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $2,200 short.
my father has been in and out of Valencia General Hospital since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Roberto struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Roberto won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

• Post-operative medication: $260
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,620

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Roberto.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. pre-operative tests and imaging comes first ($320) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
