Surgery fund for Rivka: gallbladder removal in Tel Aviv
After an aortic valve defect, Rivka was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Rivka was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in August. The surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $5,500 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint Matthew Hospital since August. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rivka struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Rivka won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.

Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $1,750. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
