Rekha was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in April. The surgeon at Surat University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $850 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Surat University Hospital since April. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rekha struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Rekha won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
