Surgery fund for Rajan: cataract surgery in Jabalpur
A scheduled cataract surgery in November is out of reach without help covering $700 of the cost.

In August I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. My surgeon at Jabalpur Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $700 short.
Doctors at Jabalpur Regional Medical Center told me a benign brain tumor will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a delivery rider, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a delivery rider have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rajan!
Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $430. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
