Surgery fund for Purvi: septoplasty in Mumbai
A scheduled septoplasty in July is out of reach without help covering $1,000 of the cost.

In April I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. My surgeon at Mumbai General Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,650, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $1,000 short.
Doctors at Mumbai General Hospital told me a benign brain tumor will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,650 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $330
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $490
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you the best. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
