Purvi was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Nashik Community Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,700, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my wife has been in and out of Nashik Community Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Purvi struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Purvi won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
