Prachi was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in May. The surgeon at Tiruchirappalli Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $880, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $700 short.
my mother has been in and out of Tiruchirappalli Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $880 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Prachi struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Prachi won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
