Perla was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in July. The surgeon at Pasig Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,000 short. my daughter has been in and out of Pasig Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find. While we wait, Perla struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Perla won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
