Olivia was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at London Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,650, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $2,550 short.
my mother has been in and out of London Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Olivia struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Olivia won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
