Surgery fund for Noel: a partial thyroidectomy in Peoria
A scheduled a partial thyroidectomy in May is out of reach without help covering $6,000 of the cost.

Noel was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in March. The surgeon at Peoria Community Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Peoria Community Hospital since March. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Noel struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Noel won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
