Pokhara
Nirmala was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at Pokhara General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,050 short. my daughter has been in and out of Pokhara General Hospital since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find. While we wait, Nirmala struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Nirmala won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,050 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $35 • Hospital stay (5 nights): $390 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $480 • Physiotherapy sessions: $95 • Post-operative medication: $50 Thank you so much. - Anil
