A scheduled valve repair surgery in November is out of reach without help covering $5,800 of the cost.

Naoki was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Sapporo Community Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,800 short.
my son has been in and out of Sapporo Community Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Naoki struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Naoki won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
