Surgery fund for Naoki: a craniotomy in Kitakyushu
Naoki needs a craniotomy at Kitakyushu Orthopedic Institute and the family is $2,800 short of the hospital's estimate.

In July I was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes. My surgeon at Kitakyushu Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,000, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $2,800 short.
Doctors at Kitakyushu Orthopedic Institute told me severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
