Surgery fund for Mousumi: hip replacement surgery in Savar
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Mousumi was cleared for hip replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Mousumi was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in July. The surgeon at Savar Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my sister has been in and out of Savar Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mousumi struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Mousumi won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
