After a large ovarian cyst, Mercedes was cleared for a partial thyroidectomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Mercedes was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Fresno Regional Medical Center recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,150 short.
my wife has been in and out of Fresno Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mercedes struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Mercedes won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
