Mario was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Verona Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,350 short.
my father has been in and out of Verona Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mario struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Mario won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
