Manon was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Red Deer Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $13,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Red Deer Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $13,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Manon struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Manon won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
