Surgery fund for Lucas: a craniotomy in San Diego
A scheduled a craniotomy in December is out of reach without help covering $7,300 of the cost.

Lucas was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in August. The surgeon at San Diego Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $7,300 short.
my father has been in and out of San Diego Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lucas struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Lucas won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
