Levi was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in July. The surgeon at Oakland General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,150, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,500 short. my husband has been in and out of Oakland General Hospital since July. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,150 is more than we can find. While we wait, Levi struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Levi won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $2,500 goes: • Post-operative medication: $175 • Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,900 • Physiotherapy sessions: $425 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

It's all in the list in the story. post-operative medication is the big one at $175, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
