Surgery fund for Kimberly: gallbladder removal in Dallas
After a herniated spinal disc, Kimberly was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In August I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $10,000, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $6,050 short.
Doctors at Saint Mary Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without gallbladder removal. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $10,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a warehouse packer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
