Surgery fund for Kiara: a partial thyroidectomy in Indore
Kiara needs a partial thyroidectomy at Indore Orthopedic Institute and the family is $500 short of the hospital's estimate.

Kiara was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Indore Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $670, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Indore Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $670 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kiara struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Kiara won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $500 goes:
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $360
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $70
• Travel and lodging for the family: $70

Sending good thoughts, Ramesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Wishing you peace. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Indore
Hope it all works out, Ramesh. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We're a small family in San Fernando but we're thinking of you.
Best of luck, Ramesh. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Nijmegen.
Rooting for you, Ramesh. Hope the doctors have good news. Blessings
