Surgery fund for Karl: a craniotomy in Freiburg
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Karl was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Karl was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Freiburg General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $850 short.
my father has been in and out of Freiburg General Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Karl struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Karl won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $850 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $300
• Travel and lodging for the family: $165
• Physiotherapy sessions: $385
