Surgery fund for Juan: ACL reconstruction in Glendale
After gallstones with repeated infections, Juan was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Juan was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Glendale Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,600 short.
my son has been in and out of Glendale Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Juan struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Juan won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $6,600 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,150
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,250
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $410
• Post-operative medication: $330
• Physiotherapy sessions: $930
• Travel and lodging for the family: $530

You're not alone, Ximena. Looking forward to the next update. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Ximena. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Hang in there, Ximena. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Ximena. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
Sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
