Surgery fund for Ismael: valve repair surgery in Quezon City
A scheduled valve repair surgery in April is out of reach without help covering $1,200 of the cost.

Ismael was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in February. The surgeon at Quezon City University Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my husband has been in and out of Quezon City University Hospital since February. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ismael struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Ismael won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
