Isabelle was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,400, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,700 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Isabelle struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
