Surgery fund for Isabel: a craniotomy in Taguig
A scheduled a craniotomy in May is out of reach without help covering $600 of the cost.
🇵🇭 Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines885 views
In March I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Taguig General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for May. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $750, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $600 short.
Doctors at Taguig General Hospital told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $600 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $75
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $430
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

You're not alone, Isabel. Hope this works out for you.
Sending good thoughts, Isabel. Hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thinking of you and your family. Get well soon. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Taguig.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Taguig.
