Surgery fund for Herman: valve repair surgery in Calamba
After a benign brain tumor, Herman was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Herman was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Calamba Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $800 short.
my father has been in and out of Calamba Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Herman struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Herman won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $800 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $55
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $720
Every share and every dollar helps.

Rooting for you, Vanessa. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
