Surgery fund for Haritha: septoplasty in Siliguri
A scheduled septoplasty in December is out of reach without help covering $800 of the cost.

In August I was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated. My surgeon at Siliguri Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for December. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,600, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $800 short.
Doctors at Siliguri Orthopedic Institute told me a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a school bus driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,600 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a school bus driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $800 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $580
• Physiotherapy sessions: $85
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $105
With deep gratitude,
Haritha

Keep going, Haritha. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Ottawa donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Orlando this morning. Thinking of Siliguri
