Surgery fund for Halina: a partial thyroidectomy in Gliwice
Halina needs a partial thyroidectomy at Gliwice General Hospital and the family is $2,900 short of the hospital's estimate.

Halina was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in May. The surgeon at Gliwice General Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $2,900 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Gliwice General Hospital since May. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Halina struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Halina won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
