Hailey was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at Fresno General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $14,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $7,150 short.
my mother has been in and out of Fresno General Hospital since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $14,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hailey struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Hailey won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
