Surgery fund for Guadalupe: laparoscopic cyst removal in Veracruz
A scheduled laparoscopic cyst removal in August is out of reach without help covering $1,800 of the cost.

In May I was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair. My surgeon at Veracruz Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for August. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,400, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $1,800 short.
Doctors at Veracruz Community Hospital told me a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,400 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a care assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
