Surgery fund for Gregory: hip replacement surgery in Dundee
Gregory needs hip replacement surgery at Dundee Regional Medical Center and the family is $5,400 short of the hospital's estimate.

Gregory was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in July. The surgeon at Dundee Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $5,400 short.
my husband has been in and out of Dundee Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Gregory struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Gregory won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $5,400 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,350
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,600
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $330
• Post-operative medication: $240
• Physiotherapy sessions: $660
• Travel and lodging for the family: $220

good luck, Cora. Shared this with my family. It's not much but it's yours
Rooting for you, Cora. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like!
Hope it all works out, Cora. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Mesa
