Girish was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in November. The surgeon at Surat University Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,900, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,150 short.
my son has been in and out of Surat University Hospital since November. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Girish struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Girish won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. surgeon and anesthesia fees comes first ($440) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
