Surgery fund for Gianna: ACL reconstruction in Ottawa
A scheduled ACL reconstruction in May is out of reach without help covering $4,850 of the cost.

Gianna was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in February. The surgeon at Ottawa General Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,850 short.
my mother has been in and out of Ottawa General Hospital since February. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Gianna struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Gianna won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
