Surgery fund for Geeta: spinal decompression surgery in Coimbatore
After a herniated spinal disc, Geeta was cleared for spinal decompression surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Geeta was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in June. The surgeon at Coimbatore General Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,650, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Coimbatore General Hospital since June. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Geeta struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Geeta won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

• Hospital stay (5 nights): $440
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
