Surgery fund for Gbenga: a craniotomy in Ikeja
A scheduled a craniotomy in August is out of reach without help covering $650 of the cost.

Gbenga was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in April. The surgeon at Ikeja Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,100, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $650 short.
my son has been in and out of Ikeja Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Gbenga struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Gbenga won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $410
• Physiotherapy sessions: $130
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $35
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope the doctors have good news. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
