Gabriel was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in June. The surgeon at Manchester Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,450 short.
my husband has been in and out of Manchester Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Gabriel struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Gabriel won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
