Gabriel was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in October. The surgeon at Barcelona Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and He is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,400, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,800 short. my husband has been in and out of Barcelona Orthopedic Institute since October. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,400 is more than we can find. While we wait, Gabriel struggles with daily life and can't walk without help.
